Décorating
With Rugs
Rugs
can change the whole look of a room for
the budget conscious or the home decorator that
likes frequent décor makeovers.
Rugs with a central feature are good for open
large areas, striped rugs for small areas will stretch
the length of a room, neutral colours like, greys,
light browns and beige suite rooms for relaxing. |

Bright
reds, earthy terracottas, deep purples and geometric prints are for
entertaining
and lively area. Printed rugs are great for kids rooms and high traffic
areas and also
disguise dirty marks, wear and tear, stains and are cheaper to clean.
When shopping
for a rug make sure you take colour samples of other items inthe room
it will feature in, such as cushion cover, curtain, wall colour paint
sample. This will save
extra trips so you don’t need to take the rug back when it doesn’t
match.
Measure
your room for the space allowing 25cm of exposed floor around where
the rug
will lay. If it is for under dining table and chairs make sure it
is big enough so the chairs
are still on the rug when pulled out.
The perfect
choice of rug surrounded with furniture and a lovely couch will make
a great
conversation area or warm up a room for the kids to lie on in the
cooler months.
